Appreciation of Peer Reviewers of scientific manuscripts. Basic and clinical research in medicine are closely linked to drug and device development programs. The peer review process represents a cornerstone in the evaluation of the quality, completeness and accuracy of the scientific data presented in a scientific manuscript. However, the many hours of voluntary work Reviewers devote to this work is often unnoticed.
